Hello, my name is Kimberly. I am the creator of Lilly’s Luxuries 29 LLC, based within the warmth of my own home in Columbus, Ohio. My intention is to bridge the gap between luxury and simplicity, providing our communities handcrafted items made with care, intention, and sustainability, that are both responsibly sourced and reasonably priced, making luxury accessible to everyone! I would love to bring my products into your world!

A LITTLE ABOUT ME...

I come from a long line of creative women, one of which I named this shop after; my grandmother, Gladys Lillian. She was born in 1929 and as I write this short bio to breathe life into my artistic world, she is taking her final bow and exiting gracefully into the great Unknown. This is my way of honouring her legacy and the teachings she has bestowed upon me. I also honour my paternal lineage as my last name translates to “Lily of the Valley” in Czechoslovakian. (This is the flower you see on my product labels and logo.)

From the time I could hold a crayon in my tiny toddler hand I have been breathing artistic life into creation after creation, inspired by everything my young eyes consumed! While in school, I enrolled in as many art classes as possible; I had intended to make art my life’s path. But as they say, “Man plans while the Godds* laugh”, and did they ever experience riotous laughter with me! Life provided many distractions which took precedence over my Wild Woman nature to create; kids, marriage, career (not in the arts-boo!!), physical and mental health challenges, trauma… you know, the run of the mill stuff we all deal with! Despite Life’s challenges, I was able to dabble in the arts over the years; having a freelance photography business, displaying my works in a fine dining restaurant, being the board member of the local art community as the event coordinator, and illustrating a children’s book. I have been blessed to experience each in its own turn. Then there was another twist, and I was no longer able to create. The shadow side of Life had won! Or so it seemed….

In 2019 I had a severe break with my mental and physical health. I was hospitalized and my outlook was grim at best. I was uncertain if I would survive this existence and all the challenges that would continue to arise from its natural cycles - after all, Life offers no promises or guarantees, only impermanence and change! I trust that everything does happen for a reason, and after many years of arduous work on my inner state of being and my outer world I was able to revitalise my desire to create once more, to let the Wild Woman nature flow freely through my being and my hands once more. 

Each creation I present to you is made within the Zen-like comfort of my own home and hearth. I have spent years crafting these items, dedicating myself to the research to ensure my products will truly do no harm; each is made with a deep sense of intention and responsibility to you, our communities and our home, the great Mother Earth!

And so here we are, together, creating a beautiful exchange of energy and products that are made from my heart and by my own humble hands. I am so very excited to be on this journey with you!
